Technological / developmental capabilities developed internally

One of E-Globaledge's strengths is its technological and developmental capabilities in the field of electronics. We have honed our ability to develop products that meet customer needs, which we have learned through marketing, and have the state-of-the-art technological capabilities to achieve this development. For example, we demonstrate our functions as a manufacturer by developing testing devices with embedded control systems that use excellent components from around the world and processors embedded with E-Globaledge software.
For quality, we have obtained ISO9001 and provide our products under strict control.

E-Globaledge has also made great contributions in the infrared communication field to the development and standardization of specifications, playing important roles in promoting their adoption in mobile phones etc.

Major areas of technological development

Imaging

E-Globaledge is the exclusive agent in Japan for high-performance CMOS image sensors developed by AltaSens in the U.S. We develop embedded software in-house to bring out their full potential and provide it as an imaging signal processor. We also develop full high-definition, high-speed camera blocks combining lenses etc. to this processor. Customers can develop cameras more quickly by utilizing these components while also keeping initial investment low.

In addition, we also developed a machine vision system, called "EG-VISION", to automate visual inspection in production lines. Our years of experience and know-how in this field have come together in the form of a product, and we provide solutions that combine both our software and the hardware and software of other companies.

Short distance wireless communication

In the field of infrared communication, widely used in digital cameras, printers, and for sending pictures, address data, etc. between mobile phones, E-Globaledge assumes the office of chairman of the "Infrared Data Association (IrDA)," an international organization, and provides leadership in the development and standardization of infrared specifications/standards and protocols.

We are also promoting efforts for high-speed short-distance wireless communication technologies of the next generation, which have gradually been adopted in TransferJet, Giga-IR, and so on.
